Update

I wanted to let you all know that my dad will be having open heart surgery on October 9th. He will be doing it at the heart center at St. Vincents in Carmel. I'm going to take the day off to spend with my mom. He will be in the hospital 5-7 days. I don't expect the surgery to affect my plans to go to Julie's on the 11th but will let you know if something changes.

I would appreciate your prayers during this difficult time.

thanks!

Love to you,
Jen

Finally

So, I'm finally contributing something to the blog!

Things are beginning to settle down here as we get all of our 'affairs' in order.  I should be moving sometime around Nov 1.  It will be nice to move on a bit emotionally.  It's been a roller coaster ride, that's for sure.  We'll be talking to the kids sometime mid Oct - say some prayers for us!  I know it will be a difficult time.

I am so looking forward to seeing everyone at Julie's in a couple of weeks.  My kids are excited!  I hope everyone can make it!

Laura - good chatting on Facebook today.  I can see how that can be such a fun waste of time.  The rest of you need to get on there.

Love you all
Kelly

Fall weather is great up here and we are enjoying every moment that we can be outside. It has been in the 80s here.
I am also looking forward to Homecoming. Whitney is excited to hang out with the girls, Luc, well he doesnt even know about it yet, but will have fun anyway.
Loving the kids being in school, doing lots of PTO stuff right now getting the year going at school.
love you all.

Homecoming 2008

So what's up with the silent blog? nobody has written in awhile. I know Laura and I have been busy on Facebook but what is everyone else's excuse?

So excited for Julie's hog roast/bon fire on the 11th. Not sure if I am going to homecoming yet or not. David is not interested so we'll see.

Almost 17 weeks into the pregnancy now - feeling good except the stairs are a bitch. My ultrasound is on the 17th but I think we are going to forgo finding out the sex....ugh.....I have mixed feelings about it so we'll see if I can hold out.

Hope all is well with everyone. Would be good to hear from you.

Fun in Columbus

I can't agree with Jen more. Saturday night was fun, relaxing, and much needed. We enjoyed seeing the Gilmore home and hearing about all of the renovations. It is going to be absolutely gorgeous when you are finished with everything. It is the perfect setting with so many fun things to do. Julie, thanks so much for having us. You were right to say we need to do things like that more often. I wish we all lived closer too.

Laura - It was good talking to you the other night. I think I am going to take your advice and NOT finish my book club book. I tried to read more this morning before work and I felt like I was reading a high school girl's myspace page or something! It is horrible!

Kristen - I can't believe we live within 20 minutes of each other and never get together. That needs to be our new resolution. Could we quit our jobs so we could spend time together during the day????

Jenn - Did you get my message the other night about PF Changs?? I'm up for it ANYTIME! I'm craving it too but not because I'm pregnant, just fat!

Kelly - It was so good to see you! I hope things go smoothly these next couple of months and the move goes well. I'm sure you will be relieved when you finally have a space of your own and you can begin to move on. You are always in my prayers.

Julie - Thank you! Thank you! Thank you! Thanks for organizing our get together and being a terrific hostess. The kids had a ball and so did we. We can't wait to see your place in the fall. I bet it is even more beautiful.

Stef - I miss you. Thanks for the body scrub. I love it! You are so thoughtful. Hope the new job is going well. I'll give you a call this week to hear all about it!

About next month . . . Who all is planning on attending FC Homecoming??? Big 15 year reunion for Stef, Julie, Kristen, and I! (Are we old or what???) I am up for anything that weekend so let me know who is coming and when!

Miss my friends,

Jennifer

So much fun

Julie: Thanks so much for such a fun evening at your house on Saturday. It was good to get together and see everyone and their kids. Thank you too for the rocking chair. I will think of you at 2:00 a.m. when I am rocking my baby.

Laura: I am glad that your niece is home safe and sound. I am eager to hear the details on what happened and hope that the family is doing okay.

Kelly: Thanks for driving the rocking chair up at whatever time that was. You seriously should have just stayed all night.

Jen: Call me or email me when you want to meet at PF Changs. I've been craving that for weeks.

Kristen: Your kids are super brave!

I can't believe how much the kids have grown - especially Olivia. She is such a lovely teenager and so nice to be around.

I hope you all are well!

Stef and Laura: We miss you at these events! Wish you lived closer.

Love to you all!

School has started

School finally began in Michigan. Our first full day today. I was walking home giddy with the thought of so much time on my hands. What to do first, you guys know me my list was so long I wasnt sure where to start. I hit the gym and then had to do a ton of errands. Doing them by myself was bliss.
I am starting my bible study next Tuesday and PTO is getting into full swing which I know will keep me busy. I like being at the kids school and being involved. I am also going to help in both classes as much as I can. Also, doing my book club again this year, so I will have lots of new books on my goodreads.
Jennifer and Jennifer so good to hear your updates, thanks for posting. Take care and love to you all.

13 weeks and counting

So I just reached my 13th week of pregnancy this past Friday. My friends here in town say "time is really flying by". I say not so much. Ha! My sickness has subsided and my fatigue has decreased a ton. I'm still milking it at home since David has been so willing to do all the house chores (except grocery shopping). I have my next appt. on Friday and then in another 4 weeks I will have my ultrasound. Looking forward to that and still trying to determine whether or not we will find out whether it is a boy or girl. I say yes, David says no. I just need to decide how big i want to win this battle I guess.

Went to Cleveland this past weekend and spent Fri-Mon. with my brother and his family. The kids are so big. It's hard to believe they are 10 and 7.

Also found out yesterday that my dad needs to have open heart surgery. He is adamantly opposed but it seeing a surgeon on Thurs. for a second opinion so we'll see what the outcome is on that. I would appreciate your prayers this week and will keep you posted.

Kelly was in town weekend before last and we had dinner in Broadripple. It was a great visit but too short and hardly the same without wine and smokes. haha! She seems to be doing well but I see she hasn't been on the blog so we will have to get on her about that.

I hope you are all well. Julie: I hope you found some money for your remodel!

Miss you all!
